The insider on living on Park Avenue

If you are anything like us, you are obsessed with the slightest thought of living in New York city and even when you hear the words ‘New York City’, your heart skips a beat. So when we found this house for just under $10 million on Park Avenue, we knew we had to blog about it.
Welcome to Park Avenue.
Yes, we agree there are some things that could be fixed up (the kitchen tiles!!) in this apartment but apart from those minor issues, this New York living.

Stylish Recycling

Samantha and I are both committed to promoting a greener future, so of course we are huge fans of this stunning chandelier.  Presented as a piece of art, this champagne glass, chandelier is both beautiful and a great example of recycling.

Promoting a Greener Future

We just couldn't go past the beauty of this sink. We are both huge supporters of promoting a greener future and we think this is perfect! It is such an innovative, environmentally friendly way to decorate a room and create a nice modern touch.  We love the way that they have used an old tap and matched it with environmentally friendly materials. This is definitely the future for bathroom sinks!

We Love Bamboo Chairs!

These fantastic Bamboo chairs, are a great way to mix up a formal or boring space. They come in a variety of colours and can be spray painted in whatever shade you want. They are both functional and stylish - the perfect combination! They look great both inside and outside, meaning we personally can't get enough of them!

Mix 'the old' with 'the new'

One tip that we can reccomend to all of you is to mix 'old' and 'new. It adds such a fresh touch to a room and makes old pieces look fashionably new. As you can see below, this technique worked well by matching very modern seats with a fashionable light piece above a simple wooden table. Give it a go, we assure you that it will work!

Turtle Shells as art - the Next Big Thing

It may sound cruel, but turtle shells are most definitely one of the newest and most interesting ways to dress a feature wall.  Please bare in mind that we are hopeful  that all the examples featured below, are the shells of turtles that lived long, happy lives and died of natural causes! We hope that people with such good taste in decoration are also animal lovers like us!

Los Angles Chanel Store

Los Angles Chanel Store

The Rodeo drv. Chanel store, in Los Angeles, is possible one of our favorite high end stores ever. As many if you can guess, me and Samantha are sadly not frequent Chanel customers. However that does not stop us from loving the store! With an amazingly fashionable interior and sleek exterior, and beautiful clothes, the Rodeo Drive Chanel store, has it all! Check it out!

A must have for everyone!

Just came across this great design, a cup with a biscuit holder! Sitting down having a cup of tea and biscuits with your friends has never been easier!

D’Espresso Coffee Shop - Manhattan

We fell in-love when we came across this little New York coffee shop situated on Madison Avenue and 42nd St. The design of this coffee shop was inspired by the New York Public Library which is close by. This coffee shop was designed by the design firm 'Nemaworkshop' who wanted to create a sanctuary that enclosed customers in a world of books. If you are huge fans of the Nemaworshop designs, like us, you will know that they always add that extra edge to their designs which is what makes them so unique and that is why they decided to turn the whole design on it's side. The bookshelves are instead the floor, the herringbone-pattered oak flooring is now the wall and behind the counter, the light that would come through roof instead comes through the horizontal wall behind the counter. Honestly, this is one of our favourite designs, it's so unique and captivating!

A modern take on the 'den'. This 'den'contains one hell of a bookshelf, that is not only visually appealing but a great source of storage, for art, books and nicknack's . Love it!
